Rick Giles

Rick Giles was raised in a musical family and singing was always a passion for him. It wasn't until his cousin, Rebecca Dawn, who currently performs in Branson MO., recorded a song that his mother wrote, that Rick discovered his own ability for songwriting and he knew what he wanted to do with his life.

He had to overcome his shyness of performing in front of a crowd so he forced himself to sing at local Karoke Clubs. Soon he began performing his own songs. He entered a talent contest that won him a chance to perform in Nashville where he captured the attention of Producer, Robert Metzgar. Metzgar recorded Rick's first national release, "Country Girl" along with the heartbreaking ballad, "You're No Longer My Girl" on a compilation CD of new artists/songwriters by Platinum Plus Records. Rick's recordings created quite a stir on country stations in the midwest and Seattle area.

Rick credits most of his accomplishments to hours of working with friends and relatives to learn to sing to live music and hone his skills. He has lived, played and worked in California, Nevada, Arizona, Montana and currently resides in Washington state. As he continues to wow fans from Washington to California, his shyness is becoming a thing of the past. Performing and recording in Nashville is his dream.
