Glenda Lynn's music reaches right into
your heart and pulls at every string attached. For anyone who is as avid a ballad lover as
I am, this is YOUR album! Don't let that throw ya, there's still plenty of honky tonkin'
goin' on but her absolute strong point is a great country love song and once you've heard
one, you'll love to hear more and more. Within a month of its
release, three of the 11 songs from "Blue Roses" were receiving airplay in
Europe and were soon on charts in Sweden and Germany. "Some Monday," also from
the album, climbed the independent charts in the US and achieved a number one ranking on
the Tracker Report of independent airplay in January of this year. It also received
Honorable Mention in Music Row Magazine, a Nashville publication. |
Glenda's accolades don't end there. She has received
attention and awards throughout the world for her great country style and silky sweet
voice. Billboard Magazine ranked Glenda as the number one artist on their New Talent
Showcase for over a month. In November, Women of Country, a California webzine, selected
Glenda as the Best New Artist of the Year. Other nominees included Sara Evans and Mindy
McCready.
Recently, the Independent Country Music Association of
Germany has nominated Glenda to receive both the American Horizon Award and the Best New
Female Vocalist award at the Best of Texas Award Show in September.
All of these honors are well bestowed on the right gal.
Glenda Lynn will win your heart and keep you wanting more. While her voice can keep you
inspired, her stage performance sets her up another scale on the charts of talent. She has
a stage presence of comfort and ease which captures her audience. All in all, Glenda Lynn
is a rising star to keep an eye (and ear) on. Talent unlimited and looks to match....

Presently, Glenda is working on a second album under
the direction of Nashville
writer/producer Parker McGee. Mr. McGee, who has written songs for, among
others, The Carpenters, Crystal Gayle, Reba McIntire, Buck Owens, and Tanya
Tucker, said, "Glenda's voice is like a very fine instrument and she uses it to
deliver all of the emotion in the material. She has a natural stage presence and
when I saw her perform, I knew she only needed one thing - a hit song.
Hopefully, we can produce that for her."
I've found more than a few "hit worthy"
songs on this album so I can't wait to see what Mr. McGee has in store for Glenda and her
fans in her upcoming album.
